Is my data sent to a server?

No. Donfig formats, validates, repairs, converts, sorts, and diffs JSON, YAML, XML, and CSV entirely in your browser. The only network calls are when you explicitly Load from URL or load a sample. Nothing is logged.

What's the maximum file size Donfig can format?

Drag-and-drop and File upload accept up to 8 MB per file. Pasting directly into the editor works for larger inputs, limited only by your machine.

Why does Donfig support big numbers?

Standard JavaScript JSON parsing converts very large integers to floating point, silently losing precision. Toggle Big numbers to preserve full precision via BigInt — important for IDs, blockchain values, and exact currency amounts.

How does JSON repair work?

Accepted Answer

Donfig's Repair button uses a forgiving parser that auto-fixes common JSON issues: missing or trailing commas, unquoted keys, single quotes, unterminated strings, and a few related patterns.

Can I share a Donfig URL preloaded with data?

Yes. Append ?url=https://example.com/data.json to donfig.com and Donfig fetches and loads it on open. Useful for embedding in docs and sharing test cases.
